Which areas do you service?

Wish Upon a Party spreads magic to the five boroughs of New York City! Please note that some locations may be subject to an additional travel fee.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. If you are looking for a character closer to the date, fill out the booking form and we will do our best to fulfill your wishes! Parties are booked at a first-come-first-serve basis and a completed contract and deposit are required to reserve your date and character. Call and book today to have the character of your choice entertain your guests with a magical performance they will never forget!

Are your parties appropriate for all ages?

Yes! Our parties are generally geared for young children (ages 2 -10), but all ages are sure to enjoy our fun and engaging performances. We have activities available for boys, girls, and even adults to enjoy our magic! Our characters are also able (and love) to entertain at schools, street festivals, fairs, sweet sixteen parties, quinceañeras, bar and bat mitzvahs, and many more.

Is there a travel fee?

Yes, the travel fee starts at $10 and increases at a rate of $1/mi when over 5 miles away from our office in Brooklyn. This is to ensure the safety of our performers, as well as maintaining the high quality of our costumes and materials.

Are the characters and costumes shown going to be the ones at my party?

Yes,  all of our costumes are made of professional, high quality material and are available either on the website or can be provided through email. The performers that will be at your party vary, but you may request a specific cast member in the “Additional notes” portion of your booking form. 

What Do I Need On The Day Of The Party?

On the day of the part or event, our princess or superhero will call the cellphone number provided about 5 minutes before their arrival to confirm that they are near. This will give you time to gather the party guests and birthday princess in a location where you would like the activities to take place. Your entertainer will take it from there! 

Outdoor Parties?

We will gladly participate in outdoor events, as long as the weather is reasonable. The characters will need a dry area free of mud and dirt. Due to the nature and quality of the costumes, as well as the well-being of our performers, we will not be able to do an outdoor party or event if the temperature is 90 degrees or above, 30 degrees or below, or if there is rainy/inclement weather. Please have a backup location prepared.

Cancellation Policy

If the party needs to be canceled due to an unforeseen tragedy on our company’s end, you will receive a full refund, including your $50 deposit. If the party is canceled by the host, your $50 deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. Remember, if the date of your party needs to be moved around, we are more than happy to work with you at no extra cost. We understand life happens! 

Gratuity

You are more than welcome to tip your performer(s) for the work they do at your party. Our cast spends a great deal of time studying the stories, recreating the makeup, rehearsing dances and songs for their performances, all to bring their characters to life. Though gratuity is never expected, it is greatly appreciated!

General Terms And Conditions

Wish Upon a Party does not assume responsibility or liability for accidents or damages caused during your party. However, you can be assured the characters will treat your home and guests with respect and care. Wish Upon a Party is not responsible for allergic reactions to wearing any costumes, cosmetics, or accessories, or consuming any food or beverages before, during or after the party. It is the responsibility of the guest and/or guests’ parent or guardian to inform the client of any allergy restrictions and take the appropriate steps to avoid contact with such items. Wish Upon a Party is NOT responsible for any injuries, negligence, or unruly behavior during parties. Please act responsibly & chaperon all party guests.
